90210 tv news90210 will lose another showrunner at the end of this season, according to TVLine.

Rebecca Sinclair is stepping down from her role as overseer of the nouveau 90210, a position she's held since the beginning of the show's second season. Sinclair joined the show in it's first season and took over showrunning duties from Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah. The show was conceived by Rob Thomas of Veronica Mars fame before he moved on to focus on his Cupid reboot, letting Sachs and Judah run the show based on his script.

Sinclair's decision to leave the ficitional Beverly Hills zip code wasn't on bad terms or frustration. According to Deadline's Nellie Andreeva, Sinclair opted out of renewing her contract with CBS TV Studios because of wanting to spend more time with her infant daughter and to start working on her own projects, mainly a novel, her own pilot script, and a movie. Since production on season three has already wrapped for the year, Sinclair's departure will not affect the current state of the show. The CW/CBS TV Studios is actively looking for a replacement for the show's highly possible fourth season, despite a renewal not officially bening announced yet.

So is Sinclair's departure from 90210 a good or bad thing? As a fan of her work (she did some great episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer), it's hard to ignore the good and the bad that Sinclair brought to the show through these two years. While the show's rocky start was not her fault, she still steered the wheel into some disasterous storms of her own. On the other hand, 90210 has been nothing short of phenomenal this season, so I'm kind of sad to see her go, while some people might be heralding her departure since she's been credited of butchering some of the legacy of the original series Beverly Hils, 90210. So let's look at some of the pros and cons Sinclair has brought to the show.

Pros

The creation of Teddy Montgomery was a stroke of genius on Sinclair's part and how she's handled his "coming out" story has garned nothing but praise from most fans of the show. The 'No Drama Adrianna' was a hilarious moniker for the girl we are currently loving to hate when she was a saner, more sympathetic character. Finally, this season has just been on point all around, especially with the handling of Naomi's rape storyline, which proved to fans that Naomi wasn't just a bitchy stock character.

Cons

The entire second season. Gade, Ignorant Dixon, and Jasper are still haunting us to this day. Also, lets not discuss that hideous second season finale and Annie accidently killing someone and getting off scott free in the end. Not a great message for kids.

So with that evidence on the table, we here at TVO want to know your thoughts on Rebecca Sinclair leaving the show. Yay or Nay?
