Law Library News
New Libraries Search Coming Soon!

In late June 2024, the SU Libraries will upgrade to a new cloud-based library services platform. The current user search interfaces, Classic Catalog and Summon will be replaced with a new unified Libraries Search.

During the migration, online and physical material from the Law Library and other SU Libraries will continue to be available. Access to all Law Library electronic resources will not change after the new platform launch. However, discovery of some SU Libraries electronic resources may not be available in Libraries Search. If you are searching for a resource you can not find, please look in the SU Libraries’ Database Menu or contact Law Library Reference at lawreferencedesk@syr.edu.

For more detailed information on this migration, please see the SU Libraries blog post which is being updated as needed.

Summon search results will include resources from the Library Catalog as well as full-text articles from Syracuse University Library (the main campus library) databases. It will NOT include articles, etc. from databases licensed by the Law Library.

Primarily useful as a general subject search tool, Summon will yield an extensive, broad array of search results.
