Janusz Korwin-Mikke has caused controversy by hitting out at the Paralympics and claiming that the general public should “not see the disabled on television”.

In his blog, the controversial politician made his thoughts on the Games perfectly clear, concluding that they should not really be regarded as sport at all, reports Dziennik.pl.

“Everyone has the right to physical exercise and to take part in games. One can only rejoice in the fact that the disabled also organise competitions. However, with sports it is not the same. You might as well organise a chess tournament for morons, or a bridge tournament for people with Down’s syndrome,” states Korwin-Mikke.
